The training is carried out in accordance with the requirements of Regulations I/11, V/4 of the STCW Convention, as amended by Sections A-I/11 (para. 4), A-1/12, A-V/4 (Table A-V/4-1), B-1/12 (para. 68-70), B-V/g of the STCW Code.
The course is prepared with the aim of:
-Ability to contribute to the safe operation of ships in polar waters
-understanding of ice characteristics and areas where different types of ice can be expected area of operation
-understanding of ship operations in ice and low air temperature conditions
-understanding of safe operation and maneuverability of the ship in ice
-awareness to monitor and ensure compliance with legal requirements
-understanding the application of safe working practices and emergency response
-understanding and awareness of proper crew training, working conditions and safety
-understand the need to ensure compliance with pollution prevention requirements and
-prevent environmental hazards and
-understanding of maneuvering skills for safe operation of ships in polar waters.
To register for a training course, you must provide copies of the following documents:
1. Ukrainian passport (1st, 2nd, 3d page and registration), or ID card (pages 1 and 2 and extract), or permanent/temporary residence permit;
2. Taxpayer registration number (VAT identification number) / (formerly identification number)
3. Working diploma with confirmation (for cadets: certificate from an educational institution, or cadet ticket, or record book);
4. Seaman’s identity card (1 page and last voyage);
5. Ukrainian passport for travel abroad (1 page);
6. Medical certificate;
6. Photo 3×4.
