Course assignment The STCW Designated Security Duties course takes one days to complete. After successful completion the student is awarded with the STCW (A-VI/6-2) certificate, which is valid for 5 years. Course Content: Security services, including piracy and armed robbery. How to recognize security breaches and threats. Security threat procedures. Inspection of security equipment. Updating and check of Ship Security Plan. The target audience: The STCW Designated Security Duties training (DSD) is aimed at all maritime personal, with exception of the Ship Security Officer, who is responsible for specific safety tasks. After completion of the STCW Designated Security training, the participant will be able to carry out assigned safety procedures. The training is carried out in accordance with the requirements of regulation VI/6 (paragraphs 1, 2) of the STCW Convention, section A-VI/6 (paragraphs 1-4), table A-VI/6-1 and the guidance given in Part B of the STCW Code. The course is prepared with the aim: -to provide basic knowledge of the requirements of Chapter XI-2 of SOLAS, ISPS Code, STCW Convention related to safety issues; -to learn the necessary initial measures to ensure the security of the ship and crew; -training in the necessary initial measures to prevent unauthorized entry of unauthorized persons and objects onto the vessel; -training in the procedure of interaction of the ship's personnel involved in security with the security officers of the company and port facility; -Initial training on joint actions of the ship's crew and port facility security officers during cargo handling and ship's supply; -studying the procedure for informing the ship security officer about any deficiencies and inconsistencies identified during periodic ship security surveys and inspections and taking measures to eliminate them; -familiarization with the procedure for participation of the crew members in measures to enhance security and vigilance on board the vessel, etc. -familiarization with the procedure for operation of the main technical security equipment; -familiarization with the procedure for applying protective measures to counter terrorist and pirate attacks, etc; -The procedure for interaction between the vessel and security ships.

The training of students is carried out in accordance with the requirements of Regulations I/12, II/1, II/2, VIII/2 of STCW Convention, Sections A-I/12 (part 1, 2), A-II/1, A-II/2, A-VIII/2 (part 2, 3, 4, 4-1), B-I/12 (paragraphs 68-69), B-VIII/2 (part 4-1)) of STCW Code. The course is prepared in order to: -study, renewal and consolidation of skills in the use of the entire complex of radio and electronic navigation equipment of the underway navigation bridge, information navigation systems and controls of the vessel being modeled to ensure safe navigation in all conditions; -work out teamwork on the bridge; -train to carry out a navigational watch in conditions of heavy shipping traffic and in conditions of a limited navigation area, both in daytime and at night, as well as in difficult weather conditions and in limited visibility; -train in maneuvering and controlling the ship in all conditions while navigating in areas with traffic distribution systems and areas controlled by traffic control services, as well as near such areas; -practice watchkeeping in difficult navigational and emergency situations, as well as acquiring skills in interaction with rescue and coordination centers and coastal services involved in emergency situations; -practice watchkeeping during pilotage, mooring operations with or without tugs in various wind, current and tide conditions and during anchoring and unanchoring of the vessel in any conditions; -acquire the minimum knowledge, understanding and professional skills listed in columns 1, 2 of Tables A-II/1, A-II/2 of the STCW Code; -achievement of the standard of competence required in accordance with the methods of demonstration of competence and criteria for assessing competence, which are given in columns 3 and 4 of tables A-II/1, A-II/2 of the STCW Code

The training is carried out in accordance with the requirements of Regulations I/12, II/1, II/2, II/3 of the STCW Convention, Sections A-I/12 (Part 1, paragraphs 1-2), A-II/1, A-II/2, A-II/3, B-I/12 (paragraphs 36-66) of the STCW Code The training is carried out in order to: -understand the electronic mapping data; -Set for displaying data on the screen; -adjustment of electronic maps; -knowledge of the main types of ECDIS systems and their display characteristics; -practical use of electronic maps; -Ability to identify incorrect display of information and factors affecting the operation and accuracy of the system; -Awareness of the potential dangers of over-reliance on ECDIS; -Connecting the ECDIS to other navigation devices and systems; -Acquiring the minimum knowledge, understanding and professional skills listed in column 2 of tables A-II/1, A-II/2, A-II/3 of the STCW Code; -achievement of the standard of competence required in accordance with the methods of demonstrating competence and the criteria for assessing competence, which are given in columns 3 and 4 of Tables A-II/1, A-II/2, A-II/3 of the STCW Code.

The training of students is carried out in accordance with the requirements of Rule V/1-1, V/1-2 of the STCW 78 Convention, sections A-V/1-1, A-V/1-2, B-I/12 (clause 71) of the STCW 78 Code. The course is prepared in order to: - use the simulator to acquire the necessary skills in loading and unloading liquid cargo, as well as ballast operations; - improve their skills in tanker operations, acquire the necessary knowledge and skills to work in a team in various roles.

The training of students is carried out in accordance with the standards set out in paragraphs 1-4 of Section A-VI/2 of the STCW Code, Table A-VI/2-1 of the STCW Code The course is prepared in order to: -provide training and boarding of persons in life-saving equipment, safely launch and raise lifeboats and rescue boats and safely launch life rafts. - operate a rowing boat, or a motorized, inflatable and solid life raft, including in rough seas. - organize life support for victims in lifeboats and rafts after leaving the ship in emergency situations.

The training is carried out in accordance with the requirements of Regulation V/2 of the STCW Convention, Section A-V/2 and B-V/2, Tables A-V/2-1, A-V/2-2 of the STCW Code. The training is carried out in order to: -Gain knowledge of the use of emergency plans to ensure the safety and evacuation of passengers in the event of an emergency -Gain knowledge of the procedure for providing assistance to passengers on the way to the places of collection and boarding of rescue vehicles -Gain knowledge of conducting drills and alarms on passenger ships; -Gain knowledge of maintaining self-control in difficult conditions; -Gain knowledge of maintaining watertightness of the hull of Ro-Ro passenger vessels

The training is carried out in accordance with the requirements of STCW Convention 78 and IMO Resolution MEPC.96 (47). The course is prepared in order to: - provide students with the necessary knowledge of ship bunkering, personal safety and marine pollution prevention; - gain basic knowledge of the production, sale and handling of fuel, as well as commercial, financial and economic issues of selling and buying marine fuel.
