Passenger Ship Crisis Management and Human Behaviour Training

The training of students is carried out in accordance with the requirements of Regulations I/12, V/3 of the International Convention STCW 78 sections A-I/12, A-V/Z (paragraph 1), Table A-V/3-1 of the STCW Code International Convention SOLAS-74, International Convention MARPOL 73/78 The course is carried out in order to: -acquire the necessary competence to enable them to assume the tasks, duties and responsibilities listed in column 1 of Table A-V/3-1 of the STCW Code; -acquire the minimum knowledge, understanding and professional skills listed in column 2 of Table A-V/3-1 of the STCW Code; - achievement of the standard of competence required in accordance with the methods of demonstrating competence and the criteria for assessing competence listed in columns 3 and 4 of Table A-V/3-1 of the STCW Code.

Students are trained to achieve the competencies specified in the STCW Code in Tables A-II/1, A-II/2, A-III/1, A-III/2 and A-III/6. The course is prepared in order to: be able to apply leadership skills and work in a team; be able to use the skills of a leader and organizer.

Course assignment The STCW Designated Security Duties course takes one days to complete. After successful completion the student is awarded with the STCW (A-VI/6-2) certificate, which is valid for 5 years. Course Content: Security services, including piracy and armed robbery. How to recognize security breaches and threats. Security threat procedures. Inspection of security equipment. Updating and check of Ship Security Plan. The target audience: The STCW Designated Security Duties training (DSD) is aimed at all maritime personal, with exception of the Ship Security Officer, who is responsible for specific safety tasks. After completion of the STCW Designated Security training, the participant will be able to carry out assigned safety procedures. The training is carried out in accordance with Regulations III/1, III/2, III/3, III/6 of STCW Convention, as amended by sections A-III/1, A-III/2, A-III/3, A-III/6, B-III/2, B-III/3 of STCW Code. The course is prepared in order to: -Mastering/updating and supplementing theoretical knowledge and practical skills on issues related to the operation of shipboard high voltage power installations, taking into account the requirements of the STCW Code, changes in national and international regulations. -Practical demonstration of achievement of the competence standards specified in column 4 of Table A-III/6 of the STCW Code.

The training of students is carried out in accordance with the requirements of sections A-III/1, A-VIII/2 (parts 3, 4, 4-2), B-I/12 (paragraph 73), B-VIII/2 (part 4-2) of the STCW Code. The course is carried out in order to: -recovery and consolidation of skills in the use of the entire complex of engine room equipment, control systems and controls of the main power plant (hereinafter - MPP) and auxiliary mechanical equipment to ensure safe movement, maneuvering of the ship and performance of technological operations related to the use of mechanical equipment of the ship in any conditions -practice work as part of a watch in the engine room; -development of skills for prompt assessment of the current situation and making optimal decisions on the operation of MPP and auxiliary mechanical equipment in difficult operating and weather conditions; -assessment of competence required by Section A-III/1 of the STCW Code, which is carried out using the Training Equipment, as well as demonstration of the availability of professional skills defined in column 4 of Table A-III/1 of the STCW Code using the Training Equipment.

Acquiring theoretical knowledge and practical skills in rendering first aid in case of accident or sudden illness on board ship, in accordance with the requirements of Regulation VI/4 of STCW Convention, Section A-VI/4, paragraphs 1-3, Table A-VI/4-1 of STCW Code and Guidelines Training of students in order to - teach fast, correct and consistent first aid actions on board a ship to save lives and maintain vital functions until more qualified assistance is available, as well as to develop the confidence and readiness to act in extreme life-threatening conditions; - train in the use of the International Shipboard Medicine Guidelines for timely initial diagnosis, selection of the best method of first aid, treatment and medical care of a sick or injured person on board a ship; - train in certain skills of basic and first aid, aspects of medical care and treatment of a sick or injured person on board a ship; - train in the use of medical radio consultations, which are an integral part of first aid measures for a sick or injured person on board a ship;

The training of students is carried out in accordance with the requirements of sections A-VI/1, B- VI/1 of the STCW Code, section XI-1, regulation 7 of the SOLAS-74 Convention The course is prepared in order to: - obtain the necessary competence to enable them to assume the tasks, duties and responsibilities listed in column 1 of Table A-V/1-2 of the STCW Code; - acquire the minimum knowledge, understanding and professional skills listed in column 2 of Table A-V/1-2 of the STCW Code; - achievement of the standard of competence required in accordance with the methods of demonstrating competence and the criteria for assessing competence listed in columns 3 and 4 of Table A-V/1-2 of the STCW Code.
