Description

The training of students is carried out in accordance with the requirements of the STCW Convention specified in Section A-II/1 of the STCW Code.
The course is carried out in order to:
-study of the main technical, operational, navigational characteristics and parameters of radar, ARPA, their accuracy and limitations;
-Acquiring skills of radar and airborne surveillance operation, radar surveillance skills, taking into account the reliability of information and the presence of errors in equipment readings;
-application of modern methods of processing and using radar information and achievement of the radar padding standard to prevent ship collisions and ensure free navigation in conditions of limited visibility and heavy traffic, as well as when navigating in narrow channels and along separation systems.

Required documents:

To register for a training course, you must provide copies of the following documents:

1. Ukrainian passport (1st, 2nd, 3d page and registration), or ID card (pages 1 and 2 and extract), or permanent/temporary residence permit;

2. Taxpayer registration number (VAT identification number) / (formerly identification number)

3. Working diploma with confirmation (for cadets: certificate from an educational institution, or cadet ticket, or record book);

4. Seaman’s identity card (1 page and last voyage);

5. Ukrainian passport for travel abroad (1 page);

6. Medical certificate;

6. Photo 3×4.

The training is carried out in accordance with clause 2.1.6 of Chapter 2 and Chapter 12, Part A of the International Ship and Port Facility Security Code (ISPS Code), regulation VI/5 of the STCW Convention and section A-VI/5 of the STCW Code. The training of students is carried out in accordance with the requirements of Regulation I/12 of STCW Convention, Sections A-I/12 (parts 1-2), A-II/1, A-II/2, B-I/12 (paragraphs 68-69) of STCW Code. The course is carried out in order to: -study, renewal and consolidation of skills in the use of the whole complex of radio and electronic navigation equipment of the underway navigation bridge, information navigation systems and controls of the vessel being modeled to ensure safe navigation in all conditions; -practice teamwork on the bridge; -train to carry out a navigational watch in conditions of heavy shipping traffic and in conditions of a limited navigation area, both in daytime and at night, as well as in difficult weather conditions and in limited visibility; -train in maneuvering and controlling the ship in all conditions while navigating in areas with traffic distribution systems and areas controlled by traffic control services, as well as near such areas; -practice watchkeeping in difficult navigational and emergency situations, as well as acquiring skills in interaction with rescue and coordination centers and coastal services involved in emergency situations; -practice watchkeeping during pilotage, mooring operations with or without tugs in various wind, current and tide conditions and during anchoring and unanchoring of the vessel in any conditions; -acquire the minimum knowledge, understanding and professional skills listed in columns 1, 2 of Tables A-II/1, A-II/2 of the STCW Code; -achievement of the standard of competence required in accordance with the methods of demonstration of competence and criteria for assessing competence, which are given in columns 3 and 4 of tables A-II/1, A-II/2 of the STCW Code
